Lake Fork Stables

Lake Fork Stables is a 501c3 nonprofit providing riding lessons and horseback riding excursions at Lake Fork. We offer English and Western lessons. We are also becoming a Pony Club Riding Center.

Our Horseback Riding Experiences support our nonprofit and are a great family activity if you are visiting the Lake Fork area! We are located in Yantis, just three miles from the 154 bridge and also offer accommodations via Stable View Cottages onsite. Horseback riding can be booked online via AirBnB Experiences.

Riding Lessons

Our riding lessons follow the curriculum of the United States Pony Club with a focus on horsemanship and safety. We provides lessons for adults and kids in English and Western disciplines. Our curriculum follows the full spectrum horse care and riding.

Each private lesson is one hour and students receive one hour of horsemanship homework each week. Lessons are scheduled on a session basis.

Our Primary Goals

Safety comes first! All riders and guests are required to sign a liability waiver. A helmet must be worn at all times while on a horse.

Our lessons are a combination of riding and on the ground horsemanship. Horseback riding is so much more than being in the saddle. It is important to learn how to care for the horse as well.

Quality Education

Whether a Pony Club member or not, all of our students learn via the Pony Club curriculum. It is the gold standard of the horse industry.
